History of L’Oreal Brand
As a young chemist, who wanted to have a well-established career in the field of chemistry, Eugène Paul Louis Schueller, an aspiring French chemist finally developed a hair dye formula in the year 1909 from his project. He then targeted the salons to sell his products, and they welcomed it with open arms. So, he started to sell his product to many salons in Paris and called it Oréale. In the year 1919, Eugène decided to open his own company he Société Française de Teintures Inoffensives pour Cheveux which translates to Safe Hair Dye Company of France which in later days became L’Oréal.
L’Oréal has the reputation of implementing well-researched products into the market. The formulations by L’Oréal are carefully examined by many chemists working for the group. With thousands of chemists working for L’Oréal, it is made sure that the products are safe, and secure to be used by a human. L’Oréal was also one of the earliest brands to release a separate line of beauty products for men, in the year 2005. This was a huge relief for men who were suffering from clogged pores, rough and dry skin, oiliness, and many other beauty problems.
By starting their legacy with only the hair colors and hair dye ranges, L’Oréal Paris today has come a long way, and now have thousands of products that target each and every problem encountered in the beauty trends. The L’Oréal products are easily available today in any departmental and general utilities store today, and not just in the salons. They have established a very strong stand that beauty must be affordable and available to everyone who desires to have it. With a worldwide distribution of its products, and Jean-Paul Agon as its CEO, L’Oréal is thriving in the market along with its subsidiaries like Maybelline, NYX Cosmetics, Garnier, and Lancôme.
